SCOPE

Founding design hire owning the entire UX and visual surface, working directly with the founders and
engineers on a team of fewer than ten. Flat structure, no design hierarchy to inherit, and full latitude to set the
direction. Relocation support available alongside medical, dental, vision and wellness benefits.

DESCRIPTION

  • Run user interviews and talk directly to users to understand what they need, then turn that into consumer-grade interfaces for complicated workflows
  • Design new interaction patterns for AI-native products — discovery-led surfaces rather than another chat interface
  • Take dense concepts, data and agent behaviour and make them legible at a glance
  • Work independently alongside the founders and engineers: spot what needs fixing, redesign it, ship it fast
  • Build and evolve the design system, visual language and overall product experience end to end

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3 – 8 years selling complex, high-value ($50K+ ACV) services or solutions to founder and C-suite buyers
  • 2 – 12 years in consumer product design (UX/UI), with real shipped products behind you
  • A portfolio of consumer work at the quality bar of leading retail investing and consumer social apps — polished, opinionated, clearly your own thinking
  • Strong visual and UI craft plus UX judgement for information-dense interfaces: charts, data, multi-step workflows
  • Experience running user research and interviews
  • Has been the founding or sole designer at an early-stage company
  • Rapid prototyping — in Figma, in code, or with AI-assisted tools

  • Experience designing fintech, trading or AI-native products
